St. John’s high school youth group is open to all 9-12 graders, and is an intentional, faith-filled, serving, and fun group of students growing in their faith in Jesus Christ. We meet every Sunday at 7:00 pm during the school year to talk about life and faith, play games, eat food, study the Bible, and do various service projects for our community.
In the fall, the youth can attend LYO (Lutheran Youth Organization). The WND Lutheran Youth Organization includes each and every high school student in congregations across our synod. Each fall, hundreds of young people from our congregations come together for the annual LYO Gathering - three days focused on growing and sharing our faith, serving the world in Christ’s name, engaging in dynamic worship, and building relationships.
Whether you are a member of St John or not, everyone is invited to come and see what we are all about! If you are interested in knowing more about the Youth Group at St John, email Pastor Joe at .
Every year during the summer, the Senior High Youth Group goes on a MYSTERY MISSION TRIP to a different location in the U.S. or abroad, serving the community and growing in faith. Whether you are a member of St John or not, everyone is invited to come and see what we are all about!
To secure your spot for the trip, $250 is due with the application on or before March 28.
Why is it a "mystery"?
St John does “Mystery” Mission Trips because these trips are about the opportunity to serve Jesus, not have a destination vacation. Youth will not be told where we are going until we arrive. Parents will receive information about our trip, our destination, and how to contact us after we depart.
